REVIEW OF BP15300 White

Hi,
I am in love with the Audemars Piguet 15300 and 15202 (old 5402) due to the 39mm size, fit and amazing design.
It is basically my grail but I am not willing to pay the raised prices are now in second hand market so the rep is my choice.

This is the last rep we can find at our trusted dealers. Mine came from Toro, fast and smooth as always.

First thing you can easily notice is that the “new” 15300 is heavy, thick and has wrong color on date wheels, only the white is accurate as the gen is always white (older gen models are cream color, if you send to maintenance AP changes the DW to the new and same as 15400 more white and modern numbers)

Now on to the pics of my watch with the other BP15300 version and some 39mm friends

The watch is far better than old version, it has the polished rehault and bruising is much better
The color is pure white I think more gen like, the older versions were more cream.

Touching the light of the pic to see the huge difference in terms of dial colors and brushing.

Here another 15300 version not BP and quite old ... this version is “meh” but it was with a real ETA swiss so it is at least accurate and case construction is nice but bracelets is horrible as it is not compatible with no one, no BP no 15202 quartz, No 15202

and definitely not compatible with a strap from ebay.

(those rubber straps are very nice for the price and comes with deployment buckle and plots, it worth the price and it is compatible to 15400JF perfectly. And more or less to BP15300)

After all it is a good rep, pitty the thickness if not it could be a super rep, overall quality is good, I would say a 7,5/10
For me is enough, it is a better rep than previous versions, at the end on the wrist thickness is not so noticeable.

mmmh, well depends on each one expectations but for me it would be at the level of a JF 15400 v.2 maybe.

Is it me or the groves of the bezel screws are still a bit wonky? Also the screws are not slightly sunke, they look like it sticks out a wee bit.

The rep 15300 (whatever version) will never be a super rep IMHO but yes it can be a very good rep, on par with any 15400 actually. I actually think that it is something more refreshing to see on the wrist compared with the ubiquitous 15400 (JFs everywhere lol)

Love this color combo, the white is nice. Wear it in good health

Some flaws i notice:
The date window is a little off, cutting too much into the square tapisserie
The gen white is more pure white, BP has some shine silvery
Thickness (as mentioned)
The bracelet finish isn't as clean as the JF, something about the rounded edges of the connectors, like they're too beveled.

But there's a lot of great watch, so i would rate it 7/10

Thanks for sharing. I did get a chance to try this out. The watch does feel a little thick on hand, but the extra few mm seems to disappear (at least for me) once on the wrist..depending on how snug you wear it. Overall I'd give it 7/10 in terms on finish and feel. From what I recall some of the edges on the bracelet were a little rough and the brushed finished weren't even. I do like the dial a lot better which is a big plus compared to the older versions as you've shown. I must say this is the perfect size for guys with a 6.75 in wrist and below.

I’ll never understand why the damn factories can’t get the thickness correct. Every other detail seems to be 99.9% except thickness. One has to think that this is done on purpose.

Its many other flaws to buddy. Hands. Dw. Dial, etc.. but i agree about the thicknes. Its weird. Same with the Roo’s, Gen is 14.5mm ish and rep is 16mm. Everybuddy says its because the a7750 movment is to thick, But there is rep chrono pateks with a7750 that is 14mm thick so its totaly possible to manage almost gen thicknes for the rep factorys, but they want do it.. and i dont get it..
