AP 15500 by OM is out.

Ok, so we see the first 15500 are popping out on the market. OM seems to be the first factory with the release.

    what do you guys think?

I have not seen the ZF15500, but I do feel encouraged by the fact that they seem to pay more attention to details than JF or OMF, and take care to produce the right parts. Lets hope that the ZF iteration of the 15500 is indeed better (hard to imagine it being worse lol) than the OMF one.
The bezel proportion on the OMF was one thing which looked off to me.

We can't leave a member buy the omf when we know the zf will be released, and will be more accurate for the same price range

He is on a replica forum searching for a 15500 replica? So stay away from OMF because ZF will be better. Ofcourse its not better than Gen, but that was not his question.

I agree that ZF will likely be better than the OMF especially for the case proportions, but in no way will it be perfect. Maybe you are comparing OMF vs JF vs ZF vs whatever F but there is always the gen as the benchmark and against that, none of the reps will be perfect, so if someone is looking for perfection, then stay away from them all haha.

It actually is a subjective question. It depends on your expectations and the degree to which the OMF (or any other factory) can fulfill them.
I will not tell you to stay away from it like SHB has, but take a look for yourself, and decide if you can live with the flaws, and form your own opinion.
No rep is perfect. Show me a franken 15500 with gen dial and I will show you the flaws. Knowing that you are buying a replica, take time to study the flaws and merits of each watch, and decide if you like it enough to wear it, all things considered.
I do not follow opinions of others here (though I do agree with many of them, which turned out to be factual or agreeable/congruent with my perspective), and I do my own reading and research. I will advise you to do the same or at least know why others are recommending or advising you to stay away from a model/maker.

Gotcha, we had crossed wires. Yes, agree there isn't much to refer to in relation to 15500

I agree with you. Before actual product is compared, all are guesswork at this point.

The OM 15400 has been reviewed by a TD on the RWG forum (see attachment) with a thickness of 10.2mm vs 9.8mm. Why would the OM 15500 increase from 10.2 to 11 when using the same base Miyota movement. Hence, my assumption that the OM 15500 should be correct when released.
