you came on encouraging someone with no idea, to post QC pics and be picky about nitty gritty flaws. Then you tell them it’s their money and their decision. You’re not wrong actually.
If this is the case then why bother asking others for their opinions since it’s one person’s money and decision to take?
We don’t want to encourage guys to spam their QC pics for cheap novelty watches here, drawing arrows and circles and grid lines and expecting the entire community to do the QC work for them and rejecting them based on imaginary flaws.
If you think it’s their money and opinion, then go a bit further and tell them to keep it off the forum since it’s nobody else’s money and decision to take. Quetip was right, an attitude like yours don’t belong here.

Where I need to be.
Somebody's gonna join their friend Foozoo very soon

I think foozoo will be happy :hehehe:

But back on topic, the zf15500 is really the best royal oak rep today which money can buy.
But even with aligned markers, a centered datewheel and perfect case finish won’t turn it gen magically. Just buy the watch and enjoy it for what it is, a $500 watch which looks far more expensive than what it is, with details and a finish which are much appreciated in person than in pictures.

legend - what do you think is a good price for a gen 15500 white dial? Wondering if I should pick one up to try and franken my ZF

I think that for now, retail price is the best price for the 15500, since all aftermarket prices for used 15500s are significantly higher.
If you get allocated one, get it.
The ZF15500 is a very good alternative if you just want the feeling of wearing a 15500, it will do >90% of the job in terms of wearer-feel IMHO.

Are you asking about the price of a dial? If so I doubt that you will find one. The 15500 is quite a new model so it's not like there's been spare part going around for years, and AP has also tightened the distribution of their parts compared to a few years ago

If you want to do a franken, you're better off doing it with a 15400. The ZF 15400 is a nice rep and there's not too expensive gen dials available, take a look on chrono 24

Oh right lol I read wrong and thought he was asking about the watch and not the dial alone. In this case I go with your answer. Thanks bro as always for being the voice of reason!

My watch supplier sent me pictures of a new QC.
I am a little embarrassed that the back cover of the watch is stained with something. Is it dirty fingerprints on the film or is it some kind of glue?

I examined my watch and found no noticeable flaws except one. Does it seem to me that the dial is set slightly off-center, or is it so?

Anyway, I like this QC watch better than the old one.
