15500 on the left and 15400 on the right. I agree with legend. 15500 looks more casual and not as dressy as 15400. I realy like the new look

Size of the movement is completely wrong, it should fill-up the case back more. They cannot use a 9015 as base for the 15500, otherwise it will always be wrong size wise

Thanks for the pic. I have the JF 15400 and find it to be a bit large for my wrist lengthwise. The new 15500 appears shorter lengthwise than the 15400, so I'll consider the 15500 if this is so.

Anxiously waiting for more 15500 development news from ZF and JF.

The rep makers do not have much choice at the moment, its either the miyota 9015 or the A2824. One reason why AP created the 15500 is to make the watch a lot harder to replicate. Being a gen 15500 owner I do appreciate that but yet, I do like to see a good 15500 rep as well! I love my gens and reps both, for different reasons. So I do want the rep makers to get this close... maybe after V5 or V6?

Thanks. I'm going by the comparison picture provided by Tompa and just now measured the difference and it appears that the 15500 is just a tad (1/16 in.) shorter lengthwise. I could be wrong so I'll check some other sources.

Actually I think gilrob is somewhat correct. Yes both are 41mm overall but the proportions of the 15500 case have changed vs the 15400. I have not made a study of both gen cases yet Pdatoon but the cases aren’t identical from what I recall when I had them side by aide.
I’m unable to comment if the 15500 length is actually shorter but I can confirm that the bezel/case proportion is different slightly for the 15500.

Those pics are not officially compared and were scaled/paired by someone around the net. I do not think they can be measured.
