You can tell Mr Genta had nothing to do with that code. The lug idea is kind of cool but it looks fragile to sawy the least. Would be bloody hard to rep though!

The 15500 was supposed to be harder to rep but they did it anyway. And it looks to be a visually decent job!
The code 11.59 is difficult to rep yes but it’ll be something which even rep makers will flinch from, hopefully lol. That’ll be a sure sign the release is an utter failure.

Haha yeah when people wont even pay $400 for a watch that looks like that, the starting price of about 20k looks a bit steep...

In person the watch is strongly reminiscent of an Armani quartz. Yes I get the fact that the trademark AP octagon is now in the midcase but that’s like saying “but look at the new 4302 caliber through the caseback”.
If it’s not instantly identifiable as an AP, and furthermore looks like cheap quartz fashion watch, then I don’t see the sense in the model line. It’s almost like the brand parodying itself in a highly distasteful manner.

They reckon its going to be 20% of their sales over the next few years don't they? Even at 20% of the current price i think they would still struggle. I see what you mean about the cheap fashion watch though. No tapissiery, no octagon (well hidden doesnt count), no sweet ass bracelet. Not a lot going for it really!

I measured mine and its 10.4mm thick, no noisy rotor...

So it's only .8 mm difference? How can you notice that on a wrist?

Possible to switch it with an ETA movement

Technically yes but why will you want to do that? The decorated rotor will not fit. And a serviced miyota movement is very reliable.

there is no yellow gold 15400 in the gen world.

Thanks for the info, i'm not too worried about that detail regarding gen personally. I've seen some YG 15400s on dealers websites but not a JF V5 so wondering if anyone knows if its available.

Maybe it was not a 15400 (41 mm) but a 15450 (37 mm). The 15450 has a variant in yellow gold with blue dial:

JF produced a V2 15400 in yellow gold and in 41mm.

They mistaken that there was only a 15450 in yellow gold with blue face...

Got my New RO JF from KSwatches

It seems like its thinner! It actually feels and looks like gen thickness.

And ofc the new „Swiss made“ print.
