Wouldn't be the first time that the 9015 gets a custom balance bridge without non functional and hideous deco...

The 3120 is not that slim - not comparable to the 324 SC or the 2121 calibre.

It's all right. I bought a v3 in November and received like a month ago LOL. So I am in the same boat. But v3 is good enough. When they take care of the thickness of the case I will upgrade. I don't really care that much for the bracelet engravings. Btw, there is always a chance that something will be worse. Like they will improve bracelet and case, but then will add green hands (i.e. what they did with v9 ROO), so we shall see

This result is possible. Forget the WD40/baby oil bathe which leads to a rancid mess. Take the whole bracelet apart, reshape, repolish/rebrush ever single element, then clean and lubricate and reassemble. Should take two days of painstaking work under 10X loupe. If you know what you are doing, your end result will be that "buttery soft" gen-like feel.

V5 seriously? JF should consider upping their game on cases with correct thickness (almost every model) and correct proportions (15707 vs 15706). And if that means cloning in house movements or co-opting other cloned movement projects like the SA-4130, this should be a worthwhile investment. As we’ve seen from the sold out Noob Daytona SA4130 production the demand would be great, and those movements seem to have a feel and quality that rivals the original.

Very much agree with the sentiment, but i think a clone 3120 movement would be a disaster. Why? Because the gen movement, while nicely finished, is already sort of a mechanical disaster. Plus AP have moved on and have designed a new cal for the 15500, so where is the roll out potential for an SA-3120?

I would go further and say Noob should make an ROC using the Daytona SA4130 clone movement with a date module added (same subdial config).
Noob has been making AP ROO for longer than anyone, they recognize the importance of having a reliable thin movement to preserve case dimensions, and have shown a willingness to invest $$ to actually do something the right way.

I am literally blown away from the quality of the SA4130. The Daytona has far less appeal to me aesthetically than anything from AP, yet I ran out to get the Daytona just because I had to try out the clone movement.

I still don't get why the 15400 rep is so thick compared to the 5711 nautilus reps.

Underlying movement is the same miyota 9015, but PF has gotten the 5711 to under 9mm, which is nearly the same as a gen 15202ST..

I ask me the same I saw someone get his 15202 from 9.6 mm to 8.8 mm, gen is 8.1 so got pretty close
