2019 - best Royal Oak? (GEN-WISE) 15400

I'm about to buy my first replica watch. First I was interested in the Rolex Submariner, but now it has switched to AP Royal Oak.
I have read alot of posts but I'm still "lost".

Which Royal Oak is the most GEN-like? Model 41mm 15400 no turbullion shit (ootb)

Getting lost is part of the process but make sure to do a little bit thorough research because you will find most of the questions you will find yourself asking have been asked multiple times. Be prepared to go through pages of thread/posts.

Personally 15400 black/white JF V4

Also the 15202 is REALLY not bad and looks genlike (except maybe the dial print but the watch is so small i dont think anybody without a gen would call you out) the case/bracelet finish is top notch. One of the best reps ive ever seen.

But becasue the 15400 has the same brush/finish and is 100 dollar cheaper you should buy that

Tourbillion also not bad just a little big.

I thought I have made up my mind to get the blue dial...now I am flipping again to black dial!!! Starring at the wrist pics, black do look more "classy". Blue is more "casual"..

Sadly the blue on the new V4 are dull as hell. Buy the black one looked the best.

I have an older JF 15400 V2 blue dial with a 2xAR crystal coating. I've always liked mine, lots of fun to wear.

There has been a debate about the color of the dial for as long as the JF rep has existed. So many pictures of gens showing different dial colors... Personally, I suspect the dial color will never look just right until the tapisserie is replicated exactly - which is liable to never happen.

So, all that said, black dial is probably the way to go if you're trying to get something that looks most gen-like, but if you're not around serious AP connoisseurs you can likely pull off a blue dial with no difficulty.

Is the white dial just as good as black ? Or black dial is better than white as well ?
And does the 15202 come in other dial colors besides blue ? I was only able to find the blue dial so was just wondering.

Also as you are aware RG reps or even frankens lack the heft and weight which is what wearing gold watches are about IMHO. If you’re happy with the looks of it that is good enough. For me personally I’ll never get a rep gold watch. Other than the weight, you can potentially run into plating/tarnish issues as well. But for that you have flying tommy to help you.
