What.. miyota you say? It’s like putting a 1000cc motorcycle engine into a 3000cc bmw. Yes both will move the car but one does so with so much more finesse.

you are totally right mate. it is a shame.

i liked the fact that XF started to use the workhorse 2824/2836... and now the trend leads again towards the cheaper option. chinese marketing is just silly even though their business is growing hehe

Clone movement aside, the 2836 movement is the best one for divers given the instant date change.
With the number of 15400 and divers sold, you would have thought that a 3120 clone movement makes sense. But it seems like this remains a dream for the community today.

With the number of 15400 and divers sold, you would have thought that a 3120 clone movement makes sense. But it seems like this remains a dream for the community today.

There is still hope mate as there were rumors that were not confirmed yet - no wonder while everyone is pushing out those AETA and Miyota versions... a clone would let the sales numbers implode in a heartbeat...

I don't see the reason that they use 9015 inside other than cost reduction. Using 9015 = uni-directional rotor+ progressive date change. Both are not close to gen.
Using 9015 in JLC and PP reps are acceptable as PP and JLC both have uni-directional rotor, but not APs.

That is bad news. I personally like divers with the 2836 in them. They can be converted to low beat and they have instant date flip.
I only wish my SS divers had 2836s in them instead of 2824s

Interesting, I just received QC’s for mine and they are back to the old style bezel (no brush lines) and old style date font. I wonder if this means it has a miyota too.
