No Info atm. Why they should Release a V4? In my opinion they did a very good Job with the V3.

As a minimum the caseback requires thinning (locolouie style). At present the watch is 10% thicker than gen. that is a big deal. It’s a simple enough mod, so v4 should have this done from factory

I’d like to see a thinner case, that’s one of the things holding me back from buying one haha :)

I saw a lot of DHGate sellers listing a V4, but I thought it was just some semantics issue like v2j = 3 and v3= 4

In fact, very time consuming for casebacks that have been factory machined too thick.

Oh, I meant it should be simple enough for the factory to implement the “mod” to the design hence ensuring the casebacks are not machined too thick in the first place.

Yes, then, you are correct. They should also thin the bezel as well, since they will never get to 9.8mm just thinning the caseback without hitting the rotor. They need to thin the bezel as well, and maybe lower the handstack. But then the watch will be more difficult for their factory workers to assemble. And who knows where that will lead...

.. yes, but that "fuckup" then stimulates demand for V x+1. The gen handstack is pretty tight and assemblers need hand presses to get it right. I do not have much confidence that a 9.8mm 15400 from China will be totally failsafe.

Just thinning the caseback gets you to 10.1mm before you hit the rotor. The last .3mm comes from the bezel. Then the handstack needs to be compressed through staking since the Miyota 9015 does not have alternative H options. The whole thinning operation is a PITA, and lots of people want it for understandable reasons.

I'll be happy with 10.1.
Other forum member is selling it in Europe.
Wish I could find someone to machine back down .

A short hand stack arrangement could completely change the aesthetic of the watch.

A tall hand stack/separation gives the hands a more 3d look and even adds the illusion of depth to the dial/hands combination.

Gen bezel is thinner but the difference is not that noticeable to me. Gen Mid case is also thinner. I think gen bezel has a different changer angle but I can’t be sure.

mech500, since you have that nice gen 15400, post a clear close-up side view of the gen handstack. It will show what I mean.
