Gah.. Stupid.. I kept thinking it was loose in terms of his vertical height, and never thought it is loose because of its circumference.. :huh1:

There are pictures in this thread of the gasket problem, but not all watches have this issue.

asanibal - would love a hands on review with some close ups of the newer version - nobody is really noticing this option among the other pieces.

I know that BP got its weak spots but a review would be nice. :)

Yes a lot of guys say that and I can understand why. A 39 royal oak wears more like a 40/41mm watch and it’s in the “magic size” range which Rolex understood for a long time.
Thanks for sharing all the pics. :)

There are pictures in this thread of the gasket problem, but not all watches have this issue.

Since we are discussing mods, i fixed it with some glue. It stays where it should now. Also did the earlier mentioned paint job for the AP Logo.
Now I got two of the bezel screws that are not aligned. I know they must be glued in since they are not connected to the screws on the Caseback and the above mentioned gasket goes way deeper into the bezel than the screws.
Has anyone done that? Can give me info on how to straighten/glue them back in?

Nice work on the logo paint mod. I'm clueless on how to realign the bezel screw, other than to somehow break the screw loose and glue it back in correctly aligned.

I'd try a 2 part epoxy like J-B Weld or any slow setting glue which gives you time to align the screw properly. Fast setting glues like Super Glue does not allow you to do that.

Very nice paint job, this misaligned screw is pretty common on the dc version, if you find a way to fix it let us know, gl.

Thanks, hope you can share your QC pics once they are out.

Received the QC for the latest batch of 15202 from Sead. The bracelet looks suspiciously identical to the one shortlegs posted. Either same watch or an issue with the batch as mentioned earlier.

Do you think its likely any other factory bracelets would fit as tempted to see if Sead can source one for an additional cost?

When I RL the rep and asked if he could try to get another one, guess what? He outright said he will refund me the money. Says its not worth it to look for a better one since its just a cheap rep. So I guess that's that. Still waiting for the refund though.. All in all a less than stellar 1st experience with Sead..

I wouldn't be surprised if he's now passing the same rep to you.

to be honest - its really not worth the hassle for about 40-60 bucks he makes with such a cheap piece of steel ;)

I agree with what BIONONE said. For the price of the watch, you need to realistic about how much work the dealer should put in for the watch, especially if you have no prior purchase history with him.
