AP ROO Diver Forged Carbon JF V5

Hi guys,

I’m about to buy my first AP rep and my favorite is the FC V5 from JF which seems to be very close to gen.

I found two versions with different movements and would highly appreciate your help about the pros and cons:

Beside modding, what are the pros/cons of the A2824 compared to the Miyota?

A2824 most watchmakers can service this + parts are easy to get

Thank you for all your comments! Does anybody know if there exists a rep vs. gen comparison of this watch. I couldn’t finde any, but maybe that’s because RWI still isn’t working flawlessly...

What I would especially be interested in is if there are any instant tells compared to the ROO Diver JF V7 which is listed on the consensual list of superreps.

Instant tell (if you could look at one close enough) is always the tachy and the font of the datewheel. And the movement.

Tachy you cannot fix, rest can be modded

I just read there is a XF/V6 V2 which might be better than the JF V5. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it at our TDs.

Any opinions on that?

FYI, the HF FC is 13.95mm thick. That is closest to Gen. watch is good, only problem is hands and tacky are different color. You could put Different hands on it or have a modder paint them to match the tacky

9015 Suck! Always go for the 2824 and you can mod it or replace it with a nice PM80 later

The JF V5 has the same thickness, hasn’t it?
