Vintage Rep - What do you guys think?

Hi guys,

Wanted to share my first rep brought for me by my father, years ago. Still going strong, The buttons have started to change colour would love to replace these if anyone knows how I can get parts. Alternatively might get it all plated white gold.

I know it’s no where near the quality of newer reps but it’s special to me!

Those same buttons may be tough to source, Maybe you can find something that fits and is similar.

As for plating, it is a special piece for you so I couldn't possibly say if it's worth it. That said, if you decide to replate, keep in mind that white gold is often plated with rhodium to get that white platinum color. Doing it right could get pretty costly. I'd definitely have it checked out by a competent watchsmith before dumping a lot of money into it. Then service and plate at the same time.

I guess you could just plate the buttons but that's not perfect either.

I think I'd just keep it as is and see the aging as a reminder of all those wonderful memories.
