They‘d be better off repping some of the simpler models rather than releasing dials with completely wrong complications/layouts etc.

otherwise it is nice to see something new from AL&S...

Some brands remain to be bought only as a gen. Lange is one of them.

It is based on the Pour le Merite Tourbillon. The gen however has a power reserve indicator at 3 rather than the day indicator as on the rep. It is not a bad try for the price to be honest

Why do they do this? Why do they not just look at the gen model and match exactly? Why try to make a model that never existed?

Just because without a gen S&L movement all they can do is a "look like" ...

Think you meant L&S but yes, it's true, A. Lange & Söhne movements are truly beautiful but wouldn't a good "look like" be great?
