That does leave a sour taste when people are driven for fleeting nondescript money rather than the the joy of something beautiful
One I hope to aquire a datograph. Unfortunately, the real thing is way beyond my modest means although I did visit the ALS boutique and the service was memorable.
As yourself an owner of this replica may I ask the pros & cons of this piece?
I have the same object and can give a try to this question:
Cons:
- Case material not faithful to gen, whit implication in weight
- Dial diameter (42mm vs 38mm) & Date window position
- A certain feeling of delicacy in functionalities (may be my paranoia though, never had a problem but it is lightly used)
- Rare object (difficoult to source)
- Beautiful object and subtle (not a flashy thing, but full of details)
- Well made, solid rep, good resemblance to the gen
- Reliable ST19 movement
- Rare object (you can show it off)

Yea all the same stuff dial is amazing quality ... But I could never get over the small date size. That was the only killer for me. Everything else was great.
